Air Charter FAQ
Why charter an aircraft or own an aircraft?
When time, convenience, flexibility and service are more important than price, private air travel is always the best option. Because travel is arranged on your schedule as opposed to an airline's schedule, you gain flexibility and time. Time-savings over automobile travel are immense when you consider fuel stops, traffic jams, speed limits, construction and the fact that road travel does not allow for a direct, point-to-point course.
For business, private air travel can generate profits and reduce costs. Meetings facilitate production and when business owners assemble their teams and transport them to and from job sites - all in one day - decisions are made faster and work is completed in a more timely manner. Smart business people know the leverage private air travel offers - and they use it wisely to their advantage!
How much does it cost to charter an aircraft?
The cost of private air travel varies with type of aircraft, number of passengers, weight and dimensions of cargo, if any, fuel cost and destination(s). For example, chartering a Beechcraft Baron in the Southeastern US averages $660 per flight hour. Charter a jet and that per hour Flight Cost increases.
Some Fixed Base Operators at some airports charge Ramp Fees which can vary upwards to $200. International fees may also apply. Departure fees, Landing fees, Navigation fees - even Overflight fees - are common in some combination with air charter to the Bahamas, Grand Cayman and other countries.

What are Empty Legs?
Empty legs are segments of flight which have no passengers hence they are referred to as "empty." With empty leg flights, the aircraft is empty but must fly to a destination - either to return to base or to pick up passengers or cargo. With or without passengers, the airplane must move.
Why do I want to know about your Empty Legs?
You can save money with empty leg flights! These flights are bargain flights - discounted air charter that represents a win/win for you and the charter company!

How do I find out if I can depart from my local airport?
You can always depart from your local airport. But because runways vary in length and different aircraft have different landing and take-off distance requirements at different outside air temperatures and elevations, not every aircraft can fly into or land at every airport.
So, if you are arranging air charter flights or simply curious, just ask us! We'll let you know what types of aircraft can legally land and depart from your local airport.
